All About Throw 1 Deep
A federal non-profit organization based out of Georgia, Throw 1 Deep is a club designed to support high school student-athletes earn a college scholarship by teaching a healthy and world-class lifestyle, while providing a FUNdamental environment that engenders hard and focused work combined with proper teachnique and strength training. Mike Judge, who founded the club in 1999, graduated from the University of Georgia(UGA) and, as a full track and field scholarship athlete, held both the shot put and javelin records at UGA. Coach Judge is a Level 3 USATF Certified Coach, IAAF Level 5 Certified Coach, and teaches both Level 1 and Level 2 USATF Coaches Education. Coach Mike's primary goal is to get college scholarships for as many high school student-athletes as possible each year.
The club has assisted over 105 student-athletes earn college scholarships. Many of these scholarships are to schools including University of Georgia, Auburn University, University of Alabama, Harvard, Georgia Southern University, Notre Dame, Princeton, Clemson, Louisville, University of Southern California, Indiana State, University of Florida, Penn State, and the list goes on. The success of the club hinges on the determination and work ethic of its athletes and coaches. In addition to college scholarships, the club has produced some of the top athletes in the country. Since 1999, Coach Mike has coached close to 200 high school All-Americans, 21 National Champions, 27 National Runner-Ups, and 3 National high school records.

Born and raised in Indiana, Mike Judge earned his athletic scholarship to the University of Georgia and graduated with his degree in Economics. He also held the school records in the shot put and javelin. |Assistant Coach Ronda Gullatte Broome
A former Throw 1 Deep athlete, Coach Ronda was hired in 2009 as the club's first assistant coach. An alumni of Sprayberry High School (Marietta), she earned an athletic scholarship to Auburn Univeristy where she was on the 2006 NCAA Outdoor National Champtionship team.
