Camp format will be a day camp. Campers will be fed lunch during the two all day sessions.
Events covered will be Shot put , Discus, Hammer, Weight, and Javelin

Coaches may change. This is the list of who we expect. We expect to add coaches to this list.
Dr. Larry Judge Larry is considered one of the top throws coaches in all of the world. He has coached numerous Olympians in the throwing events. Larry is also the chairman for the throws for USATF Coaches Education program.
Mike Judge: Founder and club director Throw 1deep throws club. Mike has coached over 125 high school all-Americans in the throwing events in the last 11 years. He is considered an expert in the field of the strength and power events. He is a USATF level 2 coaches education instructor.
Dale Cowper: Throws coach University of Louisville. As a thrower coach Cowper was an NCAA all-American in both the 35 LB weight and Hammer. He is in his 4th year of college coaching and has already coached some the NCAA top throwers including several NCAA all-Americans.
Glenn McAtee: Former Throws/Jumps coach Clemson University. He has coach several top NCAA throwers including Throw1deep alumni Della Clark.
Dave Schenek: Head Track and Field coach of Barton Community College, the 2010 NJCAA Indoor National Championship Team. He has coached 19 athletes to 58 NJCAA All-American Status and 4 athletes to 11 Individual NJCAA National Championships. He currently coaches the Chilean National Record holder in the discus.
John Newell: Throws coach for Michigan State University. A University of Georgia graduate in 2005, John was an All-American in the shot put and was rated among the top multi event throwers in the nation. After graduating from UGA John trained post-collegiately focusing on the hammer and weight throw in 2006 he spent the summer in Szombathely Hungary training with coach's Pal and Zsolt Nemeth. In December on 2006 John relocated to Ashland Ohio to train with 4 time Olympian Jud Logan. He took the position at MSU in September of last year and has broken 5 school records during his first year.
Ronda Gullatte: SEC runner up in the discus 2006. Personal best is 188' in the discus. Threw 169' in the discus in high school. USATF level 2 certified coach. Coached many high school all-Americans in various events.
Mike Turk: Head Coach University of Illinois. Coached numerous all-Americans, USATF National finalists, and Olympic trials participants. USATF Level 2 instructor. Futre coach of legendary Phenom thrower Davis Fraker.
John Baumann: is in his fifth season as Oklahoma State's throwing coach after spending six seasons at the University of Illinois. He holds certifications in the following areas: USATF Level 2 Sprints, Hurdles and Relays, USATF Level 2 Multi Events, USATF Level 2 Jumps. John has coached 29 All-Americans, 35 NCAA Qualifiers, 20 Olympic team members from various countries.

The Throws Camp is an intensive instructional camp designed to provide the best possible throwing instruction for all athletes, male and female, ages 13-18. Emphasis is place upon improving each individualís skills and knowledge of throwing.
The goal of the Throws Camp is to give each camper an enjoyable experience by mixing fun with technical development. Camp sessions are designed to improve the fundamental skills required of throwing.
Special instructional exercises will be demonstrated to enhance proper technical development tailored for different age and ability levels.
Each camper will receive specific, quality instruction on how to improve their throwing. Campers will be placed into groups of similar ability. Competitions will take place during some sessions.
Lunch will be provided July 1st and July 2nd
Check-in will begin at 12:00 p.m., and end at 1:00 p.m. on June 30th. Camp ends at Noon on July 3rd.
A $125 deposit will be required with a camp application to reserve a space in the camp. This camp will be limited to the first 55 spaces. The balance is due at check in.
Withdrawal from camp less than two weeks before the beginning of the session will result in forfeiture of the $125 deposit.
